Bench Test Groundwater

 Progress, with the assistance of a North Carolina certified laboratory, completed a study of the efficacy of using bacterial blend to treat contaminated groundwater.  A  representative sample with known petroleum contamination in excess of the North Carolina 2L Groundwater Quality Standards was collected and delivered to the laboratory.  The laboratory seeded the groundwater samples with Enviro-BAC and maintained sample integrity during the course of the experiment.  Following a 30 day period, laboratory tests indicated that the microbes  significantly degraded (i.e., ~ 99% decrease in benzene contaminant levels) petroleum constituents under laboratory conditions.
